Heeellooo ladies
Hey girls, what's the problem? I'm back.
A shortfall of men aged 20 to 49 in the Shaky Isles has sparked a wave of "marrying down" by desperate women, researchers say. They found New Zealand women in that age group outnumber males by 33,000 to 53,000, making a good Kiwi man even harder to find.
Government demographer Paul Callister said this meant more professional women were marrying men with less schooling and cash. This was largely because of a lack of eligible men of equal educational or economic status, he said.

The last time I read an article like this, it was based on the 1999 census and dismissed as crap (the data within, and not your blog post, Rob). I have to say, as a fairly decent bloke with quite a number of uni degrees, that I haven’t a foggiest about where all these single women are supposedly hanging out.
The local bar, says the Herald? C’mon, go bachelor-hunting at the symphony or a Te Papa opening, or just somewhere where booze is served in a glass with a stem. What do they expect to find at the pub?
For us blokes, it’s still easier meeting women overseas than back here in Aotearoa. Girls, start going to some normal places if you want Kiwi blokes with some substance above the neck.
Hey, Jack I feel your pain (No really). I must say my happiest hunting grounds have always been pubs - normal places in my book.
Can't stand blind dates, internet etc etc. Yeah I do go to the theatre and fillums or whatever - but not to meet women. Work doos occasionally too.
But pubs and bars are the best. IMHO
SO what? I married up & am quite happy.
Maybe work dos are for me. Did a blind date once and it was OK but I think my friends find me too intimidating to set up. Should have put your bar idea to the test last Friday with St Paddy’s Day.
