Steyn questioned over column

Mark Steyn's column on the Da Vinci Code and the Judas Gospel, linked in our latest Lollies, is causing something of a stir - and not in religious circles. Steyn, it is being suggested, has liberally "borrowed" the first 550 words, or at least the ideas and examples, of that column. More here and here.

Cripes, I don't know what's worse, reading renowned novelist Dan Brown's lacklustre prose, or reading a couple of pedants lacklustrely critiqueing his lacklustre prose and each other...

Can we not interview any Templars to get their opinions?

I haven't read the book, but I'm already guessing it was the Vatican messenger whodunnit.

I think this calls for an urgent interview with Guy Kewney to clarify:

1. The whereabouts of the Grail;
2. What Theresa Gattung has to do with Judas Iscariot;
3. And is Mark Steyn a Knight Templar.

I've just called 300 3000, but apparently I need an anarthrous occupational nominal premodifier.

Da only one left is in da grail. Da grail contains da holy "the". We must find it or speak like this forever.

I couldn't find the Knights Templar in the phone book, so I've put out some feelers... maybe they don't have a New Zealand chapter.

Shouldn't be too hard to find once we have a word with them.

Yeah, looked up all the Plantards too.

I think we're getting closer...

Who is the current Masonic Grand Master in NZ? Last one I knew of was Holyoake...

Cullen doesn't seem likely... Brash? Rod Deane? David Farrar?

Can you look these things up? I haven't tried, easier just to ask & have someone else look it upo & answer...

That way it's harder for the albino monk to find me too.
