Selwyn guilty

TV news just carried a report that blogger Tim Selwyn has been found guilty of sedition. Let's hope it's a really light sentence, I mean community service or something. The sentence should be commensurate with his real offence - breaking a window.

No Right Turn (on Scoop!) calls the verdict shameful. Certainly seems like enormous overkill to me.

Total overkill - I had already pleaded guilty to party to a conspiracy to comit intentional damage. I will talk to my lawyers about appealing it. The right to communicate to the media is now under as shadow.

I tried to respond earlier Tim but Blogger was acting up. It's hard to predict how a precedent like this could be used in future, so yeah, appeal if you've got a decent chance of winning.

I hope this isn't costing you too much. How's the case being funded? if you don't mind me asking.

Waste of a good axe, if you ask me. Whatever happened to the archetypical rockthrowing protester?

It's costing them in more ways than just money.
