Lollies, shaken, not stirred
Well, overnight Ferrit launched its e-commerce site, just in time for the Xmas rush.Chris hates The IT Crowd, you know, on the telly. So he was surprised to read this from BoingBoing's Cory Doctorow: “The IT Crowd is a convulsively funny British TV show.” Chris reckons the show is weak, flags punchlines and features one of the most annoying characters on TV. Having raved about this show before, investing it with Boing Boing's cred, Doctorow now announces he was “privileged” to consult on the show, which rather excludes him from being able to comment, don’t you think?
Via Arts & Letters Daily, Adam Kirsch of the New York Sun reads Thomas Pynchon’s new novel Against The Day so you don’t have to; and Allen Ginsberg’s anti-war poem Wichita Vortex Sutra was a proto-podcast, says Rolf Potts of The Nation. He recorded it on a tape recorder paid for by Bob Dylan and you can read it here.
Mark finds Will Ferrell’s London maps.
Stephen points out that trade with China is not all one way. Britain’s biggest export there is rubbish.
Ciao.

I thought the IT Crowd was a funny idea and watched the first episode... script a bit flat and wild overacting but give it a chance eh?
Gave it a chance but no. Not good. Now Trigger Happy TV... that's funny.
